Position: Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Biospecimen Division, Discovery Life Sciences
Location: Remote (Eastern or Central time zone)
Travel: Up to 10% (domestic and international)
Role Overview:
Discovery Life Sciences is seeking a Sales Development Representative. The SDR is responsible for generating new qualified sales opportunities in the pharma and biotech sectors to support Business Development Directors (BDDs). The role involves outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and supporting BDDs in growing domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct multi-channel outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn, texts).
- Research and identify new business opportunities from various sources (websites, publications, incubators, etc.).
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings for BDDs.
- Support international market expansion initiatives.
- Track and manage opportunities using Salesforce and Excel.
- Maintain high-volume outreach (30+ calls/day, 50+ targeted emails/day).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year in outbound sales/inside sales (biotech/life sciences preferred; cell & gene therapy a plus).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- CRM experience (Salesforce) and proficiency with Microsoft Office/Teams/SharePoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Creative, results-driven, and adaptable to market changes.
- International prospecting experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base pay: $60,000–$70,000 + performance incentives.
