Akron Biotech is hiring a remote Associate Director of Business Development to cover the Western U.S. territory (west of the Mississippi River). The role focuses on driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and building long-term relationships with key customers in the cell and gene therapy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet quarterly and annual sales targets within the assigned territory
- Identify, qualify, and develop customer relationships and key accounts
- Implement sales and growth strategies for targeted customers
- Provide market and competitive insights to leadership
- Maintain technical knowledge of Akron’s products and applications
- Manage accounts and interactions through CRM (Salesforce or similar)
- Forecast sales and develop business plans
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global and regional teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field
- 3–5 years of B2B life sciences sales experience (cell/gene therapy preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce, SAP preferred)
- Ability to work remotely and travel up to 30%
