Summary – Senior Director of Business Development
The Senior Director of Business Development will lead Bioptimus’s commercial growth by defining market strategy, building strategic partnerships in biopharma, and driving revenue through strong client engagement and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Go-to-Market Leadership: Shape and execute strategies for positioning and deploying Bioptimus’s AI-driven biology products.
- Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and manage key relationships with biopharma and biotech partners.
- Revenue & Growth: Achieve and exceed sales and business development goals, using data to guide strategic decisions.
- External Representation: Promote Bioptimus at conferences and events; deliver impactful pitches and presentations.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, marketing, and product teams to align commercial and scientific priorities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business or Science (PhD a plus).
- Proven success selling to pharma and biotech with measurable business impact.
- Knowledge of AI in biomedical research, SaaS models, and the biomedical data ecosystem.
- Strong network within US/EU pharmaceutical R&D.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a collaborative and creative mindset.
Preferred Experience
- Background in VC-backed or high-growth startups.
- International and multicultural professional experience.
- PhD in Biology, Machine Learning, AI, or related field.
