Summary
Invivyd is seeking an experienced procurement leader to build and optimize its sourcing and procurement function. The role combines strategic leadership and hands-on execution, focusing on improving current procurement operations, driving cost efficiency, and supporting the company’s growth. Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, this hybrid position requires travel to the New Haven, CT headquarters 3–4 times per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end procurement (from purchase orders to approvals) across systems like Conga, NetSuite, and MedPro.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and department heads to draft, negotiate, and execute contracts and SOWs.
- Ensure transparency, compliance, and alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Strategy & Process Improvement:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to support business objectives.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies and best practices as the company scales.
- Lead initiatives to adopt procurement technologies for improved governance and reporting.
- Supplier & Performance Management:
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and risk assessments.
- Develop reporting, analytics, and scorecards for spend tracking, performance, and compliance.
- Grow the procurement function and, over time, build and lead a team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8–10 years in sourcing, procurement operations, or consulting—preferably in biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems (Conga, NetSuite, MedPro), spend analysis, and contract management tools.
- Preferred: Experience with lab procurement, P2P processes, and agency/budget oversight.
- Certifications: ISM (CPSD, CPSM, CSM, CPM) or APICS (CPIM, CIRM) preferred.
- Other: Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate across departments; travel required to CT HQ several times monthly.
