Summary
The Key Accounts Manager will lead strategic engagement with targeted healthcare systems to increase disease awareness, improve patient identification, and establish screening protocols for hypercortisolism/Cushing syndrome (CS). The role emphasizes building institutional partnerships, driving system-level initiatives, and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration to improve care for patients with refractory cardio-metabolic diseases and hypercortisolism.
Key Responsibilities
- Target System Strategy:
- Analyze and map healthcare system structures and decision-makers.
- Build and maintain long-term institutional relationships.
- Share insights and best practices internally to enhance overall strategy.
- Disease Awareness & Education:
- Conduct educational programs and present at institutional and medical meetings.
- Drive awareness through collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Patient Identification & Screening:
- Partner with system leaders to develop and implement EMR flags, care pathways, and screening protocols.
- Support sustained adoption through follow-up education and training.
- Korlym Positioning (Non-Promotional):
- Communicate Korlym’s role in hypercortisolism management through compliant educational initiatives.
- Facilitate system access and transfer prescriber interest appropriately.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Clinical Specialists, Medical Science Liaisons, and Thought Leader Liaisons.
- Share system insights, coordinate educational efforts, and align on institutional strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years in pharma or medical device sales; 2+ years in institutional or system-level engagement.
- Background in endocrinology, cardiology, diabetology, or orphan disease markets preferred.
- Proven ability to influence clinical protocol adoption and KOL engagement.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong clinical understanding and patient-centric approach.
- Comfortable with extensive travel (≈80%).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
