Summary:
Biotage is hiring a Technical Sales Representative to promote and sell its scientific instrument products (e.g., Initiator microwaves, Selekt & Isolera flash systems, peptide synthesizers, V-10 evaporators) across the Boston/New England territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full sales ownership for instrument product line; meet/exceed sales targets.
- Conduct product demonstrations (virtual & in-person) and customer training.
- Drive awareness through sales calls, seminars, and hands-on demos.
- Identify and develop new business and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Support consumables sales with inside sales team.
- Use a consultative sales approach for long-term customer success.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, maintain CRM records (Salesforce), and manage quotes.
- Travel extensively (60–70%) to customer sites in the territory.
Qualifications & Skills:
- BSc in science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven sales and account management success; instrumentation sales preferred.
- Experience with government pricing and grant processes is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and self-management skills.
- Background in chemistry lab work or Biotage tools is advantageous.
