Role Overview:
The Account Manager is responsible for selling and positioning Pacira’s portfolio of non-opioid pain management products within a defined territory. The role involves working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to drive product adoption and exceed sales targets. This includes account strategy, in-person sales calls, territory management, and ongoing customer education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned with corporate goals
- Identify target accounts and build relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., physicians, schedulers, procurement)
- Promote clinical and technical aspects of Pacira products
- Manage conversion processes in hospitals, ASCs, and offices
- Conduct face-to-face sales meetings, provide education, and address objections
- Use CRM tools (e.g., Veeva) to manage account activity and reporting
- Stay up to date with clinical data and communicate market insights to leadership
- Manage territory budget and travel frequently (up to 90%)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 1+ year of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industries
- Operating Room (OR) sales experience preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a territory independently and meet credentialing requirements
- Must live in or near the assigned geographic territory
