Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales and adoption of Pacira’s non-opioid pain management products across hospitals, surgical centers, and physician offices within a defined territory. This includes developing relationships with healthcare providers, executing strategic sales plans, and exceeding revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell Pacira’s product portfolio to surgeons, anesthesiologists, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals
- Develop and execute territory business plans to exceed sales goals
- Conduct in-person sales meetings, product education, and conversion support
- Track activities and account info using CRM tools (e.g., Veeva)
- Monitor and communicate market trends and opportunities to leadership
- Maintain expertise in product knowledge, competitive landscape, and hospital/OR protocols
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1+ year of direct sales experience in pharma, biotech, medical device, or healthcare
- OR sales experience preferred
- Must meet hospital credentialing requirements and be able to travel extensively (up to 90%)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and mobile technologies
- Ability to manage a large territory independently with effective time and territory management
- Knowledge of account-based sales, value selling, and healthcare trends
