Role Overview:
Cytokinetics is seeking a Regional Sales Manager who leads and develops a high-performing sales team to drive growth in the DACH region, focusing on strategic execution, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. This senior commercial leadership role in biotech/pharma requires strong scientific communication skills and a passion for bringing innovative treatments to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, lead, coach, and mentor a team of Key Account Managers, fostering a patient-centric, results-driven culture.
- Develop and implement strategic regional business plans aligned with national goals.
- Set sales targets, forecast performance, and adjust strategies to meet objectives.
- Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with medical, marketing, and market access teams to support product education and customer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Monitor market trends and competitors to adapt strategies.
- Oversee CRM system rollout and operational execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Life Sciences or MBA) preferred.
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech sales, with 2+ years in sales leadership.
- Proven success in product launches and regional sales growth.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in German and proficient in English.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 65%), 100% field-based role.
