Summary:
Cytek is seeking a Sales Specialist who will drive business growth across the Midwest region (Chicago, St. Louis, Madison/Milwaukee) by promoting Cytek’s instruments, reagents, and services. This role blends technical knowledge with sales expertise, serving as a trusted advisor to academic, clinical, and biopharma customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Growth
- Identify and close new business opportunities.
- Meet/exceed sales targets through strategic, consultative selling.
- Expand relationships within existing accounts.
Technical Support
- Deliver product demos and technical presentations.
- Support customers post-sale with training and coordination.
Territory Management
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the region.
- Use CRM tools to track sales activities and maintain pipeline visibility.
Collaboration & Representation
- Work cross-functionally with application scientists, engineers, and marketing.
- Represent Cytek at conferences and regional events.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
- Provide actionable insights to internal teams and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of combined academic, lab, or sales experience.
- 3+ years in flow cytometry and capital equipment sales strongly preferred.
- Proven success managing a sales territory and meeting quotas.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Willing to travel 50–75% of the time.
