Summary
Genmab is seeking a seasoned leader to head the Hematology Medical Communications team, guiding the development and execution of global medical communication and publication strategies. This role is central to ensuring scientific integrity and alignment across functions and geographies, supporting the hematology pipeline and marketed products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global Hematology Medical Communications team, providing strategic and operational guidance.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive medical communications and publication plan.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and globally to align publication efforts with medical and clinical strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in publication planning and medical writing, ensuring high-quality data communication.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external experts, and publication agencies.
- Oversee team performance, budgets, vendor contracts, and compliance with Genmab SOPs and publication guidelines (GPP, ICMJE).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of departmental processes and SOPs.
- Provide strategic insights on publication risk, timing, and healthcare landscape changes.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD) required; CMPP certification preferred.
- 7+ years of medical writing or medical communications experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Strong oncology/hematology background is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of publication strategy, scientific communication standards, clinical trial data, and good publication practices.
- Proven leadership in matrixed, cross-functional teams and the ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestically and internationally).
