Overview:
TetraScience is hiring a high-performance sales and field operations leader to own revenue growth across the Americas region. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a player-coach role focused on building and leading a top-tier sales organization while also personally driving complex enterprise deals in the life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the revenue number for the Americas region—drive and deliver aggressive growth targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategy, expanding both new and existing accounts across the biopharma value chain.
- Lead and coach a team of Account Executives, while also engaging directly in high-value deals.
- Deliver compelling presentations to technical and executive audiences, from scientists and data scientists to VPs and CDOs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, and legal to close complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
- Accurately manage forecasting, pipeline, and reporting—providing regular updates to executive leadership.
- Build a high-performing sales team and foster a culture of extreme ownership, execution, and resilience.
- Guide team development and inspire high performance, while also inspecting and directing sales activity when needed.
- Drive go-to-market alignment and influence product marketing strategies to support revenue goals.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in enterprise sales within the life sciences R&D software/data space.
- 3–5 years in sales leadership (regional/district manager level or higher).
- Proven ability to close large, complex enterprise deals—ranging from $1M to $10M+ in ARR.
- Experience selling to and expanding within Top 100 Pharma accounts (not biotech).
- Demonstrated hands-on leadership—still actively selling while building/leading teams.
- Deep understanding of scientific and IT buyer personas (e.g., scientists, informatics, VPs, CDOs).
- Startup experience and ability to thrive in category-creation environments.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and strategic influence across product and marketing.
- History of exceeding revenue targets quarter after quarter, scaling high-output sales teams.
