Overview:
Vera Therapeutics is seeking a proactive and experienced Manager, Human Resources to support employee relations within our growing Commercial organization. In this key role, you’ll partner closely with HR Business Partners, leadership, and employees to foster a positive, fair, and high-performance workplace culture.
The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of employment law, conflict resolution, and HR best practices, with a proven ability to conduct investigations, resolve issues, and coach managers on complex employee matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage employee relations programs and provide guidance on HR policies and employment practices.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns and grievances with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Advise on performance issues, conflict resolution, and corrective action plans.
- Facilitate manager training on employee relations and performance management.
- Monitor employee morale, analyze trends, and recommend improvements to workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Collaborate with legal and HR leadership on disciplinary procedures and documentation.
- Conduct exit interviews and share insights for continuous improvement.
- Travel up to 30% (may include unplanned travel).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in employee relations or HR.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
- Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and investigation skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Experience with HRIS systems and employee data tracking.
Preferred:
- Professional certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, or mediation training).
- Experience supporting a diverse, multi-location workforce in biotech/pharma or commercial teams.
