Overview:
Vera Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Market Research to join our Insights & Analytics team. This role will serve as a strategic partner across cross-functional teams to shape data-driven strategies that inform brand planning, commercialization, and Vera’s first product launch.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in market research methodologies, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to synthesize insights from multiple data sources (e.g., primary research, syndicated data, competitive intelligence) into actionable recommendations. This role is pivotal in guiding key business decisions in a dynamic biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end qualitative and quantitative market research to support launch readiness and commercial strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access teams.
- Manage external vendors to ensure research quality and timely delivery.
- Translate complex findings into clear, strategic insights for senior leadership.
- Support launch planning, customer segmentation, brand positioning, and competitive analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS) preferred.
- 8+ years in market research or insights, ideally in biotech/pharma.
- Experience supporting product launches and commercial planning.
- Strong ability to synthesize diverse data and communicate insights clearly.
- Experience in rare disease or specialty markets is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-based research tools and syndicated data (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony Health).
