Overview:
Foundation Medicine is seeking an Account Executive II - a field-based sales professional responsible for driving adoption and revenue growth of Foundation Medicine’s cancer diagnostic products and services. The role focuses on building strategic relationships with oncologists, hospitals, and healthcare decision-makers, while executing territory plans to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Develop and execute territory and account-level business plans.
- Build relationships with stakeholders (oncologists, pathologists, c-suite, etc.).
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through data analysis and market insights.
- Educate clients on FMI’s offerings, reimbursement, and billing processes.
- Collaborate with national account teams and align with broader company initiatives.
- Deliver strategic presentations and negotiate to meet account objectives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of sales experience in diagnostics/life sciences or clinical setting.
- Proven track record of sales success.
- Residence within 50 miles of assigned territory.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 90%).
Preferred:
- 8+ years of sales experience in life sciences or diagnostics, especially in oncology.
- Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce), Power BI, and other data tools.
- Strong communication, consultative selling, and negotiation skills.
- Experience selling to oncology, pathology, and urology segments.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA and patient data privacy.
