Summary:
Exact Sciences is seeking a Regional Oncology Specialist focused on promoting and selling Exact Sciences’ Precision Oncology products within a defined geographic territory. The goal is to drive product utilization, develop key accounts, and meet or exceed sales targets through deep clinical knowledge, strong relationship-building, and strategic territory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed territory sales goals through regular in-person meetings with healthcare providers.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan, targeting high-potential accounts.
- Build and expand customer relationships with oncologists, pathologists, surgeons, and cancer centers.
- Provide technical and clinical expertise on genomic testing, cancer diagnostics, and Exact Sciences’ products.
- Educate and influence physicians and key opinion leaders to drive adoption.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and key local healthcare dynamics.
- Attend conferences, sales meetings, and maintain continuous training on product and clinical knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and uphold high ethical and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu).
- 5+ years of sales experience, with success in oncology, diagnostics, or complex healthcare products.
- 1+ year of oncology-specific sales (e.g., chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or diagnostics).
- Proven territory/account management and clinical selling skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight and weekend trips.
Preferred:
- Strong existing relationships in oncology accounts.
- Experience with NGS, liquid biopsy, MRD, CGP, or hereditary cancer testing.
- Background selling to surgeons and cancer centers.
- Clinical or scientific background is a plus.
