Role Summary:
The Senior Manager, FP&A will be a key finance partner to R&D and clinical teams, leading financial planning, forecasting, and analysis across clinical development and early research programs. This role blends biotech domain knowledge with technical financial skills, supporting strategic pipeline decisions and ensuring financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Clinical Development, Regulatory, and R&D leadership on budgeting and financial planning
- Build and manage program-level forecasts for trials and research initiatives
- Lead forecast-to-actual tracking, including accruals and collaboration with Accounting
- Support scenario modeling, long-range planning, and investment decision-making
- Consolidate and visualize data using ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), planning tools, and Excel
- Contribute to budgeting cycles and prepare R&D financial summaries for executive review
Qualifications:
- 6+ years in FP&A, including 3+ years supporting biotech/pharma R&D or clinical ops
- Deep understanding of clinical trial forecasting and cost drivers
- Strong skills in financial modeling, Excel, and data visualization
- Experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights)
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
- Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills
