Role Summary:
The Senior MSL will support Cogent Biosciences’ lead clinical program, bezuclastinib, across diseases such as GIST, systemic mastocytosis, and related oncology/immunology specialties within an assigned U.S. territory. The role combines scientific engagement, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration in a pre-commercial/launch setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a scientific and medical expert in GIST and systemic mastocytosis.
- Lead scientific exchange with healthcare professionals (HCPs), KOLs, and researchers.
- Contribute to strategic planning and evidence generation with Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Patient Advocacy teams.
- Develop and execute territory engagement plans, including educational initiatives and conference support.
- Collect and report competitive intelligence and HCP insights.
- Support investigator-initiated research and clinical trial awareness.
- Help onboard and train new Medical Affairs team members.
Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific/medical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, etc.) required.
- 7+ years in biotech/pharma Medical Affairs, including early-stage/pre-commercial experience.
- 3+ years in oncology or rare disease preferred.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, scientific literature, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with launch preparation, field-based education, and potentially payer engagement.
